The preparation of lau hala was a vital part of every weaver's relationship to weaving. This class focuses on revitalizing the importance of the prep process. You will learn the basics of how to take raw lau and turn it into kūkaʻa (roll) for storage. The vast majority of lau that are prepped will be used in future community weaving gatherings.
