Curious about making lei but not sure where to begin?

Join us for a hands-on hilo-style lei workshop — no experience needed! In this workshop, you'll learn to make a lei lāʻī (ti leaf lei) using the traditional hilo (twist) technique, and create a lāʻī rosette with local lei maker Kahi Keyes.

We’ll cover the basics of hilo, then explore ways to vary the scale, incorporate color, and work with different materials to make your lei uniquely yours. Whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced lei maker looking to refine your hilo technique, there’s something here for everyone.

All materials will be provided.
