We know that the preparation of hala was a vital part of every weaver's relationship to weaving. Classes focus on revitalizing the important hala prep process. You will learn the basics of how to take raw lau and turn it into field kūkaʻa (roll) for storage. The vast majority of lau that are prepped will be used in future community weaving gatherings.
